If you like Pumpkin Spice Lattes, then you’ll adore this cozy and relaxing hot chocolate version! Since this is a hot chocolate recipe, there is obviously no coffee included, so this is definitely a drink the kids can enjoy too!

I absolutely LOVE hot chocolate! It’s my favourite drink to enjoy during cold weather. Now that the leaves are changing colour and the air is getting chilly, it was the perfect time for me to make my favourite hot beverage.

Since it’s the fall season, it only made sense for me to incorporate some fall spices in this drink, along with some good ‘ol pumpkin!

I had about a cup of pumpkin purée leftover from my Easy Homemade Pumpkin Pie recipe, so I added it all into this hot chocolate! Then, to add more pumpkin flavour, I added a bit of pumpkin spice. If you don’t have pumpkin spice, you can substitute with cinnamon, ground ginger, allspice, nutmeg and cloves. I included the exact measurements of each in the notes, after the recipe.

The white chocolate is my favourite part about this drink. The sweet and creamy white chocolate paired with the pumpkin and fall spices is just unbeatable!

I recommend using the best quality white chocolate you can find. I used chopped Lindt white chocolate bars, but good quality white chocolate chips would work just fine.

To whip up this yummy drink, simply add the milk, pumpkin purée, pumpkin spice, salt and vanilla to a medium saucepan until the mixture simmers. Then add the white chocolate and stir until melted and smooth. Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream and dust with cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice. It doesn’t get any easier than that!
