These Peaches and Cream Floats are a super delicious and refreshing drink. Scoops of creamy vanilla ice cream topped with a sparkling peach beverage and club soda. This fizzy drink is perfect for a hot summer day!
I have another Summer Recipe for you all! While I’m not a big fan of the ridiculous heat this season brings, I am a fan of all the yummy cold treats that come with it! Honestly, give me a beach chair by the poolside, a giant hat to block out the sun, and a cold drink to sip on and I’m set for the rest of the summer.
I recently bought a few tubs of vanilla ice cream for an incredible recipe I’ll be sharing in the future. When I finished making that recipe, I noticed I had quite a bit of vanilla ice cream left. As a food blogger, when I have leftover ingredients, instead of just eating it I always try to think of another recipe I can make with it.
So after a few minutes of brainstorming, my mind settled on floats! They require very few ingredients and they’re SUPER easy to make! Perfection!
I gotta say, this Peaches and Cream Floats recipe is definitely the easiest recipe I’ve shared on this blog. It only requires 3 ingredients: Ice Cream + Peach Soda + Club Soda. The club soda is even optional so you technically only need 2 ingredients!
To make this simple summer drink, start by adding a few scoops of ice cream to a tall glass. I used vanilla ice cream since that seems to be the most popular flavour to use in a float, but you can substitute for peach ice cream instead for more peach flavour!
Next, pour in some peach soda. I used a Peach sparkling juice I found at my local grocery store, but you can use any kind of peach beverage you want. The sparkling juice added that awesome fizz and foam you typically see in a traditional float recipe, so I didn’t really need to add club soda. However, I already bought a bottle so I added some anyways. Again, the club soda is completely optional, and I kind of prefer this drink without it so feel free to leave it out.
Garnish your glass with some peach slices (optional but recommend) and you’ve got a super refreshing, super easy dessert drink to keep you cool this summer! I can’t believe I didn’t think of this sooner, but now that I know how easy it is to make an ice cream float, I’m definitely gonna be making these for the rest of the season.
